Images 1-4: ASYURI MITALICCHI, is an experimental fashion project by three of my friends in Tokyo, Japan. These photographs are from the first exhibition opening, with fashion designer Taichi Yokohama’s collection of non-binary garments. For this event, “Brainjack wANpakU” I collaborated with ASYURI MITALICCHI, creating a 4 panel folding screen collage representing the communication and intimacy that is needed for human connection. Sometimes we indulge ourselves in our own worlds, especially in the world of social media, and forget about the importance of this. This was my first time exhibiting my work in Japan while collaborating with friends, so it was a very special experience for me. I felt strong zeal to work with the idea of this project because ultimately I felt I could deeply connect with the concept.
